This Palo Santo comes from a small farm in the Piura region of Peru and was sustainably harvested more than 25 years ago, long before the species received protected status and modern harvesting regulations were introduced. Stored for decades, this aged wood represents a piece of Palo Santo history. Why Old-Growth Palo Santo Matters Palo Santo is an exceptionally slow-growing tree. The finest aromatic wood develops after many years, as natural resins and essential oils gradually concentrate within the heartwood.
