Bucherer SABA Clown Lay Figure
A rare antique fully articulated clown figure produced by Bucherer SABA of Switzerland circa 1920. Amazing Swiss precision engineering combined with artistic character - this is one of the more attractive models made by the company. The body and limbs are made from a combination of steel and aluminium, with composite extremities (hands, feet and head). This particular model comes with the composite clown hat (some others had removeable hats, which were almost always lost to the ravages of time). At over 100 years old, he's looking pretty good for his age and still has full use of all his faculties, even though some are a little tired. He has also lost some fingers on his right hand (see photos), but he's learnt to adapt over the years and this doesn't cause him any trouble at all. A fantastic display piece with loads of character. Measures: 21cm tall DELIVERY OF THIS ITEM: Insured courier delivery of this item will be £20.
