Darlingtonia californica, also known as "cobra lilies," earn their name from their tubular leaves, which bear a striking resemblance to a rearing cobra. The forked leaf, resembling fangs or a serpent's tongue, adds to this likeness. Skill Level: Medium Light: Min 3 hour direct sun, Max all day Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times. Can also be watered from above in addition to filling the tray. Temperature: Max 30°C, if they are going to be exposed to higher temperatures ensure they are sitting in water to keep the roots cool. Dormancy: New leaves stop forming during the colder months and old leaves will slowly die off.
