LONG Trekking Pole Lower Section

This LONG carbon fiber trekking pole lower section is 4" (10 cm) taller than the normal lower section that comes with our trekking poles. This allows you to boost a trekking pole to 56" (142 cm) to fit taller tents like the Altaplex Pro, or for very tall hikers. This replacement section will fit any clasp-lock trekking poles with a 12mm diameter lower tube, which is common on many brands. They will fit all of our past and current trekking poles. Swapping out the lower section is the easiest way to replace a worn down tip or a broken tube, or simply to drop weight from your older poles. The measurement lines are marked specifically for our 2026 and later model Minimalist and Standard Carbon poles. They have English measurements on one side, and metric on the other. If the measurement lines don't match your older poles, use a sharpie to mark your usual grip height and tent pitch height. The only caveat to these longer sections is they may make the collapsed size of your pole a few inches taller. The section can be pulled out and packed side by side with the rest of the trekking pole if you need a shorter packed size for travel. Baskets are included and add .1 oz (2.8 grams) to the weight.
