Because every articulation is perfectly synchronized, you can combine cinematic grandeur with crisp detail without phase issues, mismatched phrasing, or artificial layering. Regular Synchron Duality Strings Regular comprises two string ensembles that were sampled at once, playing in separate rooms at Synchron Stage Vienna. While the larger ensemble played in the famous main hall, Stage A, the smaller ensemble was recorded in the relatively dry Stage B. Both ensembles performed together, with the conductor on the podium in Stage A also directing the ensemble in Stage B via video monitors. Sordino Add another layer of expression and sonority to your small and large string sections with these muted string ensembles, recorded exactly the same way as the first installment in the Duality Strings series. While the large ensembles played their instruments in Stage A, the small ensembles simultaneously played in the dryer Stage B of Synchron Stage Vienna, performing perfectly in sync, with a beautiful velvety timbre that’s still bursting with variety. Colors Each section of a string ensemble is capable of producing a kaleidoscope of colors and timbres that can paint evocative and transcendent musical landscapes. This third installment of Synchron Duality Strings offers the main articulations of the series in especially soft as well as eerie, glassy tonal colors, depending on where the players put the bow on the strings. Virtuoso This Collection is an exciting addition to the Duality series, expanding the articulations of Duality Strings (regular) with a host of captivating and oftentimes quite unique articulations. From special short notes to glissandos and bends, to a great variety of runs and arpeggios that were quite demanding for Vienna's first-class musicians, the fourth installment in the series promises to inspire and entertain. FX This new Collection is an exciting addition to the Duality series, expanding the articulations of Duality Strings (Regular), (Sordino), (Colors), (Virtuoso), and Essentials. Genuine musical innovation requires venturing into uncharted territories, and this collection takes you on a journey into an entirely new world of experimental string effects. From intriguing noises and strange artifacts to creative clusters and seemingly impossible techniques, it pushes the boundaries of traditional string performance, exploring methods rarely or never seen in standard practice. Ostinato Synchron Duality Strings (ostinato) features two isolated string ensembles recorded in perfect sync on Stages A and B at Synchron Stage Vienna. Designed specifically for ostinatos, it offers short notes, expressive legatos, and unique articulation variants optimized for repeating patterns. The Vienna Synchron Player reassembles individual note recordings in real time, allowing complete rhythmic flexibility without locked tempos.
