Velturion Black is a 39mm men's quartz watch with a precision-cut black guilloché dial, sapphire crystal and a 316L stainless steel case and bracelet. It is the most understated way to wear guilloché: at a glance the dial reads deep black; tilt your wrist and hundreds of individually cut scales pick up soft silver highlights. A guilloché dial cut scale by scale Guilloché is a centuries-old decorative technique born in 16th-century European workshops and made famous on Fabergé eggs. On the Velturion, a sharp cutting tool traces each arc into the dial at a controlled depth, and where the arcs cross, the scales appear. The spiral starts small at the centre and grows outward, so every scale reflects light differently and the dial never looks the same twice. The pattern is inspired by the wind-shaped sand dunes outside Dubai, the city where VALUSIS was born. A black dial on polished steel works from boardroom to black tie, and the textured surface keeps it from ever looking flat. Ultra-light and slim It runs on a reliable Miyota Japanese quartz movement and the case is just 8.5mm thick at 39mm wide. On the free leather strap the whole watch weighs only 47 grams, our lightest watch to date, and 108g on the steel bracelet. A two-tone bracelet with polished centre links and brushed outer links catches the light with every move, and a free handcrafted leather strap lets you change the look in seconds.
