Buffet Paris Professional Model Clarinet Circa 1928

Great pre-R13 Buffet Clarinet. These are on everyone’s shortlist of great clarinets for playing professional swing or jazz. This one has been well cared for. No cracks. The center tenon has been capped to make it easier to fit. Completely overhauled with new double bladder pads and corks. Raw nickel-silver keys. Mechanism tight. Although serial numbers during this period are somewhat inaccurate because of the War, we estimate this to be from 1928. Serial #1532. These great old instruments are getting hard to find in this condition. Comes with a Vandoren B46 mouthpiece and a late-model case. (Please see photographs.) A great investment at $800 plus shipping. Please note: As professional repair technicians, our labor to completely overhaul a clarinet is approximately $250-$300. When you purchase one of our clarinets, it has been professionally overhauled with the mechanism tightened, new double skin pads, and new corks. While you can purchase as-is instruments for less, it is likely that you will have to invest in an overhaul either after you have purchased them or shortly thereafter. We don’t cut corners with cheaper supplies or patchwork. When you compare our quality, you will understand why we don’t accept lower “make offers” on our instruments.
