Simply select your exact dimensions for a perfect, professional fit. Why Natural Coir Outperforms Synthetic Alternatives Coir fibre — derived from the outer husk of the coconut — has a naturally coarse, rigid structure that creates an aggressive scraping and brushing action. Unlike synthetic loop or needlepunch mats, coir's fibrous texture physically lifts and traps soil, grit, and moisture from footwear before it reaches your flooring. The result: cleaner interiors, reduced floor maintenance, and protection of tiles, timber, carpet, and LVT from abrasive tracked-in debris. 17mm thick — substantial pile depth for maximum debris capture Natural coconut fibre construction — aggressive brushing action on all shoe types Heavy-duty PVC backing — prevents movement on hard floors, waterproof underside Indoor and outdoor suitable — performs in covered outdoor porches, internal lobbies, and full interior use Cut to size — available in 40cm increments up to 12m full rolls in 1m or 2m widths Eco-friendly — made from a natural, renewable agricultural by-product 5-star durability rating — handles high foot traffic in domestic and contract applications Product Specifications Type Natural Coir Entrance Matting Material 100% Natural Coconut (Coir) Fibre Backing Heavy-Duty Coated PVC Thickness 17mm Available Widths 1m or 2m Available Lengths 40cm up to 12m (full roll) Suitability Domestic & Contract | Indoor & Outdoor (covered) Application Lay PVC backing side down Durability ★★★★★ (5/5) Eco Friendly Yes — natural renewable material Where to Use Natural Coir Entrance Matting This matting is ideally suited to: Residential entrances — front doors, back doors, utility room entries, boot rooms Hotels and hospitality — main entrance lobbies, side entrances, conference room entries Offices and commercial buildings — reception areas, staff entrances, fire exits Schools and public buildings — high foot traffic corridors and entrance zones Retail premises — shop entrances, fitting room areas Healthcare facilities — waiting rooms, staff areas (non-clinical zones) Industrial and warehouse — welfare area entrances, canteen access points Installation Lay flat with the PVC backing facing down onto your floor surface. No adhesive required for standard applications — the PVC backing creates friction and holds the mat securely in place on hard floors. For permanent installations or recessed mat wells, a suitable adhesive may be used on the PVC backing. Cut to shape using a sharp knife or scissors if further trimming is needed on-site. Maintenance Shake out regularly to release trapped debris. Vacuum with a stiff bristle attachment. For deeper cleaning, hose down outdoors and allow to dry fully before returning to use. The natural coir fibre will lighten slightly with heavy use — this is normal for this material class and does not affect performance. The mat remains effective throughout its service life.
