Mando de Origen Tequila Reposado is made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in Jalisco. The piñas roast slowly in brick ovens. A proprietary yeast strain handles fermentation, and copper pot stills do the distilling. The tequila then rests for 10 months in white oak barrels. It pours a warm amber color. The nose shows oak and caramelized agave. On the palate it feels robust, with vanilla and chocolate up front. Light maple and black pepper follow. A subtle hint of grape shows up on the finish.
