Smoking Gun Brazil Women in Coffee Whole Bean

Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer — and for good reason. It consistently delivers some of the most approachable, satisfying cups in specialty coffee. But this lot carries a little extra meaning. Brazil Women in Coffee is sourced from Fazenda da Serra in Sul de Minas, a farm managed by Danielle Fonseca. Danielle is the granddaughter of the farm's founder. When her parents relocated and her sister moved abroad in 2018, she took over management of the farm entirely on her own. Since then, she's been implementing sustainable farming practices and pushing the quality of what comes off her land — and it shows in the cup. Our friends at Catalogue Coffee helped connect Smoking Gun with this coffee as part of a wider Women in Coffee initiative linking female producers in Brazil with specialty importers around the world. This is a natural-processed coffee, sun-dried to draw out the sweetness from the whole cherry. When we cupped it, we kept coming back to caramel apple, maple syrup, granola — there's something almost bakery-like about it. Warm, sweet, comforting, and a touch of elegance. The body is delicate and velvety with a clean finish. It pulls a wonderfully sweet, indulgent espresso and makes a great everyday filter coffee just the same.
