I come from a family of quilters. I watched my mom quilt daily as a child, and loved seeing her masterpieces decorating our home. Even as a little girl I was in awe of the love, time, and dedication quilting took. Hours and hours poured over the patterns, piecing fabric together, and hand sewing the finished touches. I love to imagine the Savior doing the same thing. To our earth, to our hearts, to us. He painstakingly has made and continues to make beautiful things. He sewed the heavens together, pieced together every star, and He does the same thing for each of us. Putting our broken hearts back together, making soemthing beautiful out of nothing. His threads of grace and love are woven throughout the heavens, throughout the world, and throughout each of us. What a blessing it is to be loved by such a patient and intentional creator. I hope this painting reminds that His grace and love can be found everywhere. In every star, in every stream, in every flower, in every butterfly.
