JH Andresen Colheita Port 2005 From Portugal’s Douro Valley, this gift boxed 2005 Colheita Port reflects an exceptionally hot, dry vintage known for concentrated wines. Made predominantly from traditional Douro red grape varieties, it matured in large, seasoned oak casks, developing rich dried-fruit flavours alongside toasted nuts, caramel and brown spice. Mahogany with golden highlights. Intense aromas of walnut, fig and brown spice. Rich dried fruit, toasted nuts and caramel, with a silky, smooth texture. Long and warming, with lingering nutty and caramel notes. Serve slightly chilled with walnut tart, creme brulee, mature cheese or dried-fruit desserts.
