Sarracenia flava var. ornata x cuprea <br>YELLOW PITCHER PLANT

A cross we made this Spring of Sarracenia flava var. ornata and Sarracenia flava var. cuprea. Seeds were harvested from our ornata plant. We quite like the veining of the one and the colour of the other, so are looking forward to seeing what these seeds become! The large flowers are extremely showy, bright yellow, and nodding with an umbrella-like style. They are held on tall stems above the plants. The flowers are aromatic, with a light lemon-y scent, lasting several weeks, attracting spring pollinators. Type: Hardy perennial, Carnivorous Hardiness zones: 6-9 Height: 50-90cm, 20-36" Location: Sun Seeds per pack: 25
