It meets all of a service technician’s needs in a single unit. With 7 operating modes, the GT Series is the most versatile instrument available when you work with gas or safety. The GT 40 Series offers technicians and workers a user-friendly instrument. It can be used throughout gas distribution and transmission lines for all types of measurements needed for leak tests and work in confined spaces. A bright LED alarm lights up when gas levels rise, and audible alarms are triggered at preset gas levels. Because the GT Series is fully programmable, it has become a standard across the Americas and Europe. It allows companies to use one instrument for all their monitoring needs. The GT leak detector is available with a docking station for full calibration and test capability, as well as the option of printed calibration certificates if needed. Its audible, visual and Geiger alarms, plus its ergonomic design, make it easy to operate with one hand. Ideal for carbon monoxide surveys. Confined Space Mode Measures up to 4 gases (O2, LEL, CO, H2S) simultaneously with audible and visual alarms, data logging and min/max values. Read more about confined spaces here. Barhole Mode For testing underground leaks. In this mode, the GT measures gas starting in the LEL range and automatically switches to % Volume. The barhole probe is supplied with the instrument. Carbon Monoxide Mode Measures CO directly in ppm. Menu settings for air-free CO (O2 correction) when fitted with an O2 sensor, and differential CO. Purge Mode For measuring methane from 0-100% Volume in inert atmospheres. Sniffer Mode Detects leaks quickly by measuring methane from 0-10,000 ppm with a semiconductor sensor mounted at the end of the flexible probe. Audible and visual Geiger indication makes it easy to find leaking pipes. Pressure Mode Measures from 0-60″ water column via a pressure sensor on the back of the instrument. Ideal for tightness testing of gas installations up to 2 PSI.
