Field Jacket: Charcoal Waxed Canvas

Built around the utility of traditional field and chore jackets, the Master Supply Co. Field Jacket – Charcoal is constructed from heavyweight 580–600 GSM cotton canvas—approximately 17.5 oz.—treated with a proprietary light dry-wax finish. The treatment adds weather resistance while preserving a clean, dry hand, allowing the charcoal canvas to develop creases, tonal variation and a distinctive patina through wear. The convertible point collar can be worn open or buttoned fully to the neck. When open, its natural roll and defined collar break create the jacket’s distinctive lapel-like flare. Repeating triangle-pattern reinforcement stitching across the undercollar adds structure and a subtle heritage-workwear detail. Three rivet-reinforced exterior patch pockets provide functional storage. The shield-shaped chest pocket features a Western-inspired pointed overlay at the pocket mouth—a false-flap detail stitched down to reinforce the opening without adding unnecessary bulk. Two oversized lower patch pockets feature angled hand openings with layered pocket-mouth facings for comfortable access. Star-stamped metal rivets reinforce the primary pocket stress points. The panelled shoulder construction continues across a triple-needle-stitched back yoke. Twin pleats set beneath the yoke provide additional expansion across the shoulders and greater freedom of movement. A gently curved front hem with rounded front quarters softens the jacket’s profile while retaining its traditional workwear proportions. The body is lined in black 100% cotton twill, while the sleeves use a smooth polyester twill lining for easier layering and unrestricted movement. Two additional interior pockets—one zippered and one open—provide secure and readily accessible storage. Zinc buttons complete the front closure, while two-position button cuffs allow the sleeve openings to be adjusted. Care & Maintenance: Do not machine wash, hand wash, soak, or dry clean. Cotton canvas may experience dimensional shrinkage when saturated with water. For routine care, allow dirt or mud to dry and gently brush clean with a soft brush. Spot clean only when necessary using a lightly damp cloth. Always air dry naturally and keep away from direct heat. As the wax finish naturally wears with use, the jacket can be re-waxed as needed to help maintain its appearance and water resistance. Each jacket is designed in Toronto and built in our own dedicated workshop in Pakistan. We oversee every step — from pattern drafting to leather selection to final inspection. Every jacket is individually photographed, measured, and quality-checked before leaving the shop. We produce in small batches using quality material, custom hardware, and offer complimentary custom sizing on all builds.
