18th.Century English School chalk drawing. A beautifully observed academic male nude study. Circa.1780. On wove paper. An accomplished but unidentified hand, old attributions to the reverse to both Alan Ramsay and John Constable, by neither in my opinion. Some surface grubbiness and rubbing, old tape stain to upper right corner. 26.3 by 36 cms. To framed image. 32.5 by 42 cms overall in early 19th.Century giltwood frame.
