This rope is strung with 63 round South Sea pearls measuring 12.0 to 12.9 mm, graduating in color rather than size. It opens at white and deepens through cream and champagne to rich gold at the far end. They grade AAA for luster, surface and matching. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, 34 inches in one continuous length and hand-knotted on color-matched silk, finished with a solid 18 karat yellow gold clasp set with 15 diamonds, 0.15 carats total weight. At this length it can be worn long, doubled or knotted. Every pearl is guaranteed 100% natural color. Golden South Sea pearls are cultivated in the gold-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster in the Philippines and are among the largest and most valuable pearls produced today.
