The manufacturer states they are used to relieve hoarseness, throat irritation, a tickly throat and dry mucous membranes that lead to a sore throat or a dry, unproductive cough.As a lozenge dissolves, its gel-forming ingredients (xanthan, carbomer and sodium hyaluronate) bind with saliva and form a gel film over the lining of the mouth and throat. The tube of 20 fits a gig bag or wash bag. Suck one as needed, for example every 2 to 3 hours, up to 6 a day; let it dissolve fully rather than chewing or swallowing it. Not for children under 6.
