Lighted Gold Star Tree Topper

Finish the tree with a gold star that lights up. Ten clear bulbs sit inside an openwork gold star, so it catches the light during the day and glows brightly once the tree is lit at night. The pierced star pattern throws small highlights across the branches, which gives the top of the tree more presence than a plain topper. It plugs in rather than running on batteries, so there is nothing to replace mid-season and the brightness stays constant all evening. The set includes four spare bulbs and two spare fuses, which keeps the star running if one bulb fails during the holidays. Read the instructions before swapping a bulb and replace like for like.Beyond the tree, the star works on a mantel, a shelf, a window or a banister as part of a wider Christmas display. Safety note: keep small parts and spare bulbs out of reach of children and pets, and unplug it before handling it or when the room is left unattended. Stored carefully in its box, it will top the tree again next year.
