Our first ever Plug&Play Subwoofer upgrade specifically for the MK8/MK8.5 Golf R/GTI equipped with the Harman Kardon (HK) System only. Just unplug the stock plastic subwoofer, remove the screw post, lay the new subwoofer in place, connect & enjoy!! At the heart of the GR10 Subwoofer is the Rockford Fosgate R2SD2-10 subwoofer. This 10" woofer features a dual-2ohm voice coil configuration to effectively maximize the performance of the subwoofer using the stock HK amplifier power/wiring. The sealed solid MDF subwoofer box construction measures 20"x20x"4" to fit seamlessly under the trunk lid OR tucked up in the trunk while also minimizing loss of space in the boot. The GR10 Subwoofer comes with (2) 3D printed feet with velcro attached to the front face to firmly secure it to the carpeting in the trunk. The back edge rests firmly on the carpet surface just above the subwoofer indentation and remains secure even under hardcore driving conditions. (But you probably want to remove it for Track Days). **Must remove spare tire for under trunk lid** Add the extension harness to cart if you wish to run it above the trunk lid in the boot with the HK wiring (this will also included the 2 extra feet mounted to the bottom for the upper trunk space installation).
