Info: 10 Piece Kit Ticks can be lurking in almost any green spaces during the warmer months, just waiting for warm-blooded creatures to brush by so they can hop on and feast on our blood. When they do so, health authorities advise that it very important to remove the tick as soon as possible to prevent tickborne diseases such as Lyme disease. To facilitate that, PureGard has developed a Complete Bug & Tick Response Kit, which includes specialized tools to safely remove and confine the offending parties and to sterilize and soothe the bites. Product Notes: 10 Part Kit includes Evict-a-Tick Lifter and Calm-The-Itch patches and Waterproof Clip-On Carry Pouch The founder of PureGard (formerly AtlanTICK) has been walking in the Nova Scotian woods her whole life and knows more about dealing with ticks than pretty much anyone, particularly after her two boys contracted Lyme disease in 2016. In addition to developing a safe, Canadian-made natural repellent to help prevent bites, she has acquired intimate knowledge of what tools and accessories are best suited to deal with them as quickly and efficiently as possible when first discovered, and for everyone's benefit, she has sourced and packaged them all together here at a very affordable price. The tick removal and treatment kit includes two professional-grade extraction tools - needle-nose tweezers and a precision Evict-A-Tick Lifter - along with two forms of immediate relief (alcohol swabs and Calm-The-Itch patches) to minimize the irritation and to prevent infections caused by scratching. And it's all enclosed in a compact (16 x 9 cm), zippered, rainproof bag with a carbine hook that can be attached to a belt loop, backpack, or dog leash, or carried in a coat pocket. (Or at the very least, kept in the the glove compartment or console of your vehicle.) What's in the Bag: Sticky Roller (like a lint-roller, to sweep up ticks that are still crawling around without latching on, yet) Latex Gloves (to wear while you're removing the ticks or applying the First Aid) Alcohol Swabs/Pads (to sterilize the bites) Adhesive Bandages (to apply after removing the ticks or dressing the bites) Calm-The-Itch™ Patches (self-adhering, water-resistant, stretchy flexible cloths which gently lift the skin to reduce pressure and disperse irritants naturally) Evict-A-Tick™ Lifter (their specialized tick remover) Magnifying Glass (so you can see exactly where the ticks mouthparts are, which must not be left behind, and inspect the wound afterwards) Tick Storage Vial (to retain and possibly submit specimens to a your pets' veterinarian or for provincial lab testing) Pointy Tweezers (to transfer the captured ticks from the lifter to the specimen vial) Keychain with Ruler, Tick ID chart, and QR code (for more info. on what type of tick it likely is and what to be on the lookout for next). Suggested Usage: How to safely remove a tick with the PureGard Evict-A-Tick Lift Remover: 1) Slide: Put the tool's V-notch flat against the skin right under the tick. 2) Lift: Do NOT twist, squeeze, or yank. Just lift straight up with steady pressure. It pops out completely (including mouthparts). 3) Save & Clean: Wipe the area clean. Drop the tick into the vial from your kit in case you want to send it for testing, and use the included ID card to see what kind it was. 4) Afterwards: Just monitor the bite area over the next few weeks. If you notice a rash, flu-like symptoms, or feel off, reach out to a medical professional.
