Silver and rhodolite garnet ring
A heavier 3mm round band of polished silver, paired with three rhodolite garnets set across the top. It’s not my usual approach, but still very much in keeping with my style. A single stone would have felt a bit lost against the weight of the band, so I chose three instead, spaced out to create a sense of balance between something delicate and something more substantial. Garnets come in many colours and varieties and Rhodolite garnets are a soft rose colour that contrasts with the heavy band — feminine, but still a bit bold. This ring is currently a size S but can be made to order in any size. This piece is part of my 52 Ring Project, a personal challenge inspired by rediscovering a long-forgotten collection of gemstones. After moving to Dorset, I unpacked two boxes of stones that had remained untouched for several years — some of which I have owned for over fifteen years. After carefully sorting and organising them by type, size and colour, I decided to bring them back into use by creating one ring each week over the course of a year. Each ring in the collection is made using a different gemstone, giving every piece its own character and story.
