Tissue Culture Intensive: FRIDAY 1PM

Vernon Learn practical, at-home tissue culture techniques that hobby growers can replicate without a professional lab setup. We’ll walk through everything from culture media basics and sterilization to meristem excision, transferring to media, and what to expect during recovery and growth. We’ll cover plant viruses like DMV/DCMV, TSWV, and TSV, why meristem culture works, and how tissue culture can sometimes help save special cultivars or precious seedlings that would previously have been lost to disease. This workshop will be very interactive and hands-on, allowing attendees to confidently apply the techniques they learn to their dahlia collections. Workshop limited to 20 guests.
