18th Century Dutch Tapestry, Possibly Audenaarde, 157 x 263cm / 5'3" x 8'6"

I love the subject matter here, a young boy running through a verdant landscape, the string in his hand connected to a kite and his beautifully drawn face looking up. It's very unusual and Ido not recall seeing anything similar before. The colours are fresh, even vibrant especially around the clothing of the seated man, the crimson red stands out as does the pinkness of the boys knees. A wonderful scene, will bring decor and levity.
