The Worcester Pullman

Today’s journey provides a rare opportunity to visit Worcester, with different outward and return routes, behind the magnificent Merchant Navy class steam locomotive 35028 ‘Clan Line’. Relax as you enjoy a full day on this splendid train steeped in history, and all with the incredible hospitality, attentive service and fine dining of British Pullman, A Belmond Train. Upon departing Victoria a delicious brunch is served with Bellini as we run via the West London Line to gain the Great Western mainline at Acton, then proceed via Slough, Reading and Didcot. At Swindon we take the ‘Golden Valley’ route through Kemble, the summit at Sapperton tunnel and Stroud before passing Gloucester. Our Pullman train then continues to the charming cathedral city of Worcester, on the banks of the River Severn. A three hour break in Worcester will give plenty of time to take in the many attractions the city has to offer, before the departure back to London. A sumptuous four course dinner with wine and Champagne will be served as our return journey unfolds. ‘Clan Line’ will return from Worcester via the scenic Cotswold line, through Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-in-Marsh and Charlbury, which rarely sees a steam train these days. Stopping for water shortly after Oxford, our outward route will be regained at Didcot, again returning to the Capital by way of Reading, Slough, Acton and the West London Line. Back at London Victoria it will be time to say goodbye to your carriage hosts, our splendid train and locomotive after this rare opportunity to spend a full day on the British Pullman behind steam.
