Moss Denim Suruali

Design Notes: The Moss Denim Suruali: I was inspired by designing through the lens of nature — studying erosion, texture, stone surfaces, and the way materials weather over time. I wanted the denim to feel almost unearthed, as if the fabric had been naturally aged by environment rather than artificially processed. Part of sourcing the material was to find a wash treatment was developed to resemble oxidized surfaces, moss growth, and natural earth patterns, giving the garment a worn, organic appearance throughout the denim. The flare silhouette was slightly inspired by the 70's. The intention was to exaggerate movement and allow the texture of the wash to fully stretch across the body of the jeans. Subtle distressing and faded tonal variation were placed to create depth, making each pair feel slightly different and naturally lived in. The balance between raw earth inspiration and structured denim construction became the foundation of the piece — grounding the garment between nature and industrial design.
