Artist: Dara Tabrizian Material: Ostrich Egg, Wood Artist Statement : “The Last Move" This work reflects the unity of people with diverse faces and identities, coming together hand in hand. They gather in a circular formation—symbolizing both the earth and the sun—around a central symbol, despite the destruction and violence that surrounds them. The circle represents the continuity of life, the radiance of the sun, and the shared ground we all stand on. It holds both fragility and resilience within its form. Finally, a figure of a king emerges from the ostrich egg—a symbol of birth and transformation. This moment represents both an ending and a beginning: The last move.
