Whimsical Witch Daylily Everyone should have 'Whimsical Witch' daylily in their summer garden. Proof that you don't have to be super flashy to make a big impact. Small, 4" cream blooms make a statement with washed violet blue eye above yellow green throat. Grows on scapes that are just over 2' tall in our East Tennessee garden. Dainty and breathtaking, it's no wonder Whimsical Witch is one of our best selling daylilies. As a mid season bloomer, we begin to see these charming blooms around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see these vibrant blooms a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. Whimisical Witch is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained winter cold period like those in zones 8 and lower. It's an easy choice to pair this bright beauty with other apricot daylilies in the garden. However, if you add some deep purple and bold orange daylilies to that planting, it instantly adds some extra "zhuzh" to the landscape!
