Jeanne Shaper Tip Collections

The original Jeanne shaper tip, designed for oboe by Valarie Anderson, is now being used by a great many of the finest oboists in the world. This tip produces a relatively narrow reed which seals tightly along its sides. The reeds hold up to pitch and produce a sound of beautiful coloration which doesn’t spread. This shape requires a rather substantial cane gouge of .60-.48 or heavier nearer the edge. We recommend wrapping between 70-71 mm to maintain pitch placement and depth. All returned shaper tips are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
