Bonfadini’s Franciacorta Rosé DOCG “Opera” is an elegant Italian sparkling wine crafted from a balanced blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Nero, grown in the hills of Franciacorta. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with the Pinot Nero briefly left in contact with the skins to achieve its delicate rosé hue. A portion of the Chardonnay is aged in French oak barriques, adding subtle complexity, before the wine undergoes a traditional second fermentation in bottle and is matured on lees for at least 24 months, creating depth, structure and a fine, persistent mousse. In the glass, Opera Rosé displays a refined pink colour with aromas of cherry and fresh red berries, leading to a palate that is both vibrant and savoury with a marked mineral freshness. The perlage is fine and continuous, delivering an elegant texture and a clean, lingering finish. This is a versatile and sophisticated sparkling wine, ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, charcuterie, and light Italian dishes, offering a premium expression of Franciacorta that combines precision, balance and finesse.
