Oceana Wills - Corkline Print

Oceana Wills grew up in Homer, Alaska and works as a commercial sockeye salmon fisherman during the summers. Her work is inspired by time on boats as well as her curiosity about nature and the plants, animals, and landscapes that intrigue her. “Corkline” was painted in 2019. This archival print is 8x10 inches including the white margin. "When I painted this, I was thinking about work and rest on the fishing boat and the feeling of being totally immersed in the experience (the counterpart was “Clothesline” which tells of hanging up all the wet gear in the cabin to dry before going to bed for a few hours)." -Oceana See more of her artwork here.
