KRAMER APACHE 47 HAT
The Apache 47', a triple-engine offshore racing icon, emerged in 1986 from Apache Powerboats, founded by Bob Saccenti and Ben Kramer, marking a bold evolution from the championship-winning 41' Apache Warpath. This 47-foot behemoth, first showcased at Fort Apache Marina, was Kramer’s personal boat, powered by three 800-hp Keith Eickert engines and designed to dominate the Superboat racing class with its Kevlar-reinforced hull. Its racing career, however, was cut short; Kramer piloted it in just one race in 1987 before his arrest on drug-related charges, leading to the boat’s seizure by federal authorities.
