The Old Lion

THE OLD LION is inspired by one of the greatest acts of defiance in football history. At the 1990 World Cup, while much of the world believed his career was already over, the 38 year old Cameroonian striker emerged from retirement and helped lead Cameroon to the quarterfinals, becoming the oldest goalscorer in World Cup history at the time. Four years later, at age 42, he would break his own record again. This jersey transforms the body into an X ray. The skeleton becomes the story. Because Roger Milla's greatest opponent was never another defender. It was time itself. The glowing ribcage and spine running through the center of the garment celebrate endurance, longevity, and the invisible strength that remains after speed begins to fade. The lion on the crest represents Cameroon. The skeleton represents survival. Together they tell the story of a player who refused to disappear.
