Green Day Woodstock '94

Woodstock '94 is credited with launching Green Day into global superstardom. During the set, a massive mud fight broke out between the band and the crowd of roughly 350,000 people. The Chaos: As the crowd hurled mud at the stage, Billie Joe Armstrong began throwing it back and even "mooned" the audience. The Injury: In the mayhem, security mistaken bassist Mike Dirnt for a fan storming the stage and tackled him, resulting in several broken teeth. The Impact: Following the broadcast, sales for their breakthrough album Dookie skyrocketed, jumping from No. 19 to No. 4 on the Billboard charts.
