Technique Tuesday: Fixing Mistakes
Build your skill set and grow your confidence with Technique Tuesdays! These are short sessions where we’ll cover select techniques without any specific project involved. They are a great way to learn or get a little more practice at those little things everyone needs to know. Fixing Mistakes: In this class we’ll go over some basics of fixing mistakes - we’ll talk about and practice reading stitches, un-knitting (or “tinking”), ripping out (or “frogging”), re-orienting stitches, picking up dropped stitches, and other small correction moments that happen along the way. Prerequisites: You should be familiar with the basics (casting on, knit, purl, binding off) at minimum. Homework: with worsted or DK weight yarn and appropriate needles for your yarn, cast on 30-40 stitches. Knit in stockinette for about two inches. Leave the work on the needles and bring this to class. What to bring: Your homework, a crochet hook or fix-it tool, one or two locking stitch markers. Please note: Classes are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled, or if we can fill your spot from a waitlist. Please sign up for classes you know you can attend. Wait lists are available for full classes. Please call us (206.935.2010) or send an email (info@seattleyarn.com) if you'd like to be added.
