Elliotts of Newbury Sideboard

A beautifully proportioned mid-century sideboard by Elliotts of Newbury, dating from the 1960s. The design has lovely clean lines, distinctive sweeping handles and a particularly striking grain. The front features the beautiful striped figuring of zebrano wood, with a more subtle grain across the top and sides. There is plenty of practical storage, with two cupboards positioned either side of four spacious central drawers. Both cupboards have adjustable/removable shelves, making the interior easy to adapt. Elliotts of Newbury produced some of the most stylish British furniture of the period, with designs strongly influenced by Scandinavian modernism. Their pieces are known for their elegant proportions, quality construction and distinctive detailing.
