CIRCA 1890 DERAEDEMAEKER REPRINT SOUTHGATE CARICATURE NO.1 REFERRING TO POSTAL MATTERS A fine unused circa 1890 Deraedemaeker reprint of the Southgate caricature No.1 in black on white wove paper. Caricature with many references to the postal service and Britannia with her right eye covered by a patch scattering her messengers. At right a postman is attempting delivery to a man hung from a gallows 'DEAD LETTER' and at lower right a pick pocket is plying his trade whilst a gentleman posts a letter. (Ref 143918).
