MIH Watch 2005 Edition is a landmark independent timepiece combining an annual calendar and monopusher chronograph within a deliberately restrained, instrument-led design. Presented at the Musée International d’Horlogerie in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2005, the watch was developed by an exceptional team, with Ludwig Oechslin responsible for the annual calendar concept, Paul Gerber for the movement production and chronograph modification, Christian Gafner for the design refinement, and Beat Weinmann for project management. Technically, its strength lies in radical simplification. The annual calendar uses only nine additional moving parts, with the calendar information displayed through a single aperture, while the chronograph is operated by a single pusher. The movement is based on the ETA Valjoux 7750, modified to support the annual calendar, day/night indication and monopusher chronograph function. The watch features a 42 mm titanium case, 15 mm case thickness, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and 100 metres of water resistance. Its matte black dial is clean and highly legible, with the MIH logo subtly integrated as the 9 o’clock marker, reflecting the project’s understated and functional design philosophy. This example is a pre-owned piece in good condition, supplied with its original box, papers and warranty. It will also be delivered with an additional one-year TLE warranty for added peace of mind.
