NeoPhos BrightWell Aquatics

Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos is a concentrated phosphate supplement used to increase phosphate (PO₄) levels in marine and freshwater aquariums. It’s commonly used in reef tanks where phosphate has become too low due to aggressive filtration, media, or heavy nutrient export. Key benefits: Raises phosphate safely and predictably. Free of unnecessary organic additives. When to use: Your phosphate consistently tests at 0.00 ppm or below your target range. Corals appear pale, have poor growth, or show signs of nutrient deficiency. You’re using phosphate-removing media or dosing carbon that has driven phosphate too low. Target phosphate for most reef aquariums: SPS-dominant reefs: 0.03–0.08 ppm Mixed reefs: 0.03–0.10 ppm LPS/soft coral reefs: 0.05–0.10 ppm (sometimes slightly higher is acceptable) Important: Raise phosphate gradually and test frequently with a reliable checker, such as a Hanna ULR Phosphorus Checker. Avoid increasing phosphate too quickly, as sudden changes can stress corals and encourage algae growth. If nitrate is also very low, balancing both nutrients (rather than only increasing phosphate) often produces the best coral health and coloration.
