OXYPOT DEEP WATER CULTURE - DWC Oxypot Single Complete Kit 19L The Oxypot mesh pots hang down into their misting chamber and an air pump creates a constant stream of bubbles and an oxygen rich environment. Roots have constant access to nutrient solution and oxygen which leads to exceptionally fast root growth. A great step into Deep Water Culture, the single plant Oxypot grow systems produce phenomenal results in a small space and use very little media – just a handful of clay pebbles. The plants are placed in a mesh pot containing pebbles and the roots hang down into the growing chamber which contains an air pump that continually oxygenates the nutrient solution. Oxypot DWC (Deep Water Culture) systems submerge the roots of the plant in a highly oxygenated nutrient solution, encouraging very rapid growth. Pump – leave the pump on 24/7 the plants roots need constant access to nutrient solution and oxygen. Transplanting – young plants started in 1” rockwool cubes, root riots or jiffys can be transplanted into an Oxypot, they must be root bound before they go into the system Plants under lights will take up water at a greater rate than they take up nutrient. Over time the EC of the solution will rise. Top up the pot with half strength nutrient solution, check EC and add extra nutrient if required. Then adjust pH level and perform a complete solution change every 2-3 weeks, depending plant size, water quality and hardness.
