Raw 'Pale Amber' Wood Fired Ceramic Gaiwan 110ml

Handmade in Jingdezhen from Zhongbaini clay (中白泥), this gaiwan is individually wood fired, with its surface shaped by flame, ash and the changing atmosphere of the kiln. A soft ivory-green glaze covers most of the body, interrupted by warm flashes of amber and rust where the fire has touched the surface more strongly. The lid carries a subtle blush of orange around the knob, while inside, the firing becomes more expressive — cream and golden tones gather around a small patch of green crystalline glaze. The taller, rounded form gives this gaiwan a generous brewing space while the flared rim offers comfortable control when pouring. Well suited to everyday gongfu brewing across oolong, white tea, black tea and pu’er. Each piece is handmade and individually wood fired, so variations in colour, ash deposits, glaze and firing marks are part of its character.
