Arabic Choir Workshop – A Group Singing Experience

Monday, 17 August 2026 18:00–19:30 Duration: 90 minutes 📍 Location: Kalamon-Institut für arabische Sprache Wildenbruchstr. 69 12045 Berlin Join us for an introductory Arabic choir workshop and discover the beauty of collective singing through vocal exercises and the exploration of Arabic musical traditions, including Muwashahat and other Arabic vocal works. The workshop is open to everyone who is interested in Arabic music and group singing. Participants should have a good basic knowledge of Arabic or be able to follow Arabic lyrics and pronunciation. Native Arabic speakers as well as non-native speakers with sufficient Arabic language skills are warmly welcome. No previous choir experience is required, and no audition is needed. Whether you are discovering choir singing for the first time or you already have experience in singing or musical training, you are welcome to join. Together, we will explore vocal expression, Arabic pronunciation, and the experience of singing as a group. The workshop is also an opportunity to discover voices and build a harmonious ensemble for an Arabic choir project in Berlin. After the workshop, a suitable choir group will be formed based on vocal balance, musical harmony, and the connection between participants. Registration is required.
