NDICATIONS In dogs: complementary treatment in peridontal infections caused by bacteria sensitive to amoxicillin combined with clavulanic acid, Pasteurella spp, Streptococcus spp and Escherichia coli. In cats: treatment of skin infections (including wounds and abscesses) caused by amoxicillin-sensitive bacteria combined with clavulanic acid, Pasteurella spp, Staphylococcus spp, Stre CONTRAINDICATIONS Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillins or other substances in the group b-lactamases. Do not give to gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits and chinchillas. TARGET SPECIES Dogs and cats. POSOLOGY FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION The recommended dose of the product is 10 mg. amoxicillin / 2.5 mg of clavulanic acid per kg of body weight, twice a day, taken orally to dogs and cats, according to the table below: Greutate corporala (kg) Clavaseptin 50mg. Duration of treatment: - 7 days for the treatment of peridontal infections in dogs. - 7 days for the treatment of skin in cats (including wounds and abscesses). The clinical status of the animal must be reassessed after 7 days and the treatment can be extended by another 7 days if necessary. Severe cases of skin infections may require an even longer duration of treatment and this must be decided by the veterinarian responsible.
