Nikka Frontier

Nikka Frontier was developed as a tribute to the frontier spirit of its founder, Masataka Taketsuru, who paved the way for Japanese whisky, with the intention of carrying that spirit forward to future generations. The "malt-forward" recipe includes: over 51% malt whiskies, heavily anchored by peated single malt from the historic Yoichi Distillery, bottled at a robust 48% ABV without chill-filtration. A rich aroma of cask aging combined with a pleasant smokiness from the malt. The palate is smooth yet full-bodied, with the sweetness of ripe fruits tightened by the bitter edge of peat. The finish is characterized by a sweet aftertaste accompanied by gentle oak.
