PVC Conduit Coupling — standard socket x socket solvent-weld coupling for joining Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC conduit. The standard coupling has a socket at each end with a center stop between them. Each conduit end pushes in to the stop and is solvent welded, joining two lengths of conduit, conduit to an elbow, or conduit to a box adapter. Rigid PVC conduit fittings share one outside diameter across Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 in a given trade size, so one coupling fits both.
