1950s French Oak Desk A charming little 1950s French desk with elegant compass legs, angled edges, book-matched oak veneers and original brass handles. The drop-down front opens to a useful compartment, making it a wonderfully compact and characterful piece. Possibly originally designed as a sewing table, it now makes a perfect small writing desk or occasional workspace. The veneer on the drop-down front has lifted slightly in places, giving the surface a subtly rippled texture.
