How To Refill Your Reed Diffuser Four steps, months of scent Lift the reeds out of your SOSA vessel and set them aside on a tissue. Pour fresh oil into the vessel, up to the neck. Wipe any spill from the outside. Return the reeds and flip them once so both ends are coated - this restarts a strong throw. Refresh the reeds every few months. Old, dust-clogged reeds are the usual reason a diffuser fades, not the oil.
