The deer are on our own three Pennsylvania farms, home to more than 600 whitetails, giving us direct control over collection and processing. The scent is collected and processed immediately, then bottled in a proprietary formula designed to help keep it fresh and lock in its potency. No freezing or refrigeration is required. Made for Scrape Ropes, Licking Branches, and Vines Gland Slam is a concentrated, easy-to-apply deer gland scent for mock scrapes, natural scrapes, scrape ropes, licking branches, and vines. Apply it to a Gland Slam scrape rope, a rope you already use, or a natural overhanging branch or vine. A rope is the recommended delivery method because its fibers absorb and hold liquid scent better than the surface of most branches or vines. The hanging rope also creates a visible, interactive licking-branch target for bucks to investigate, rub, lick, and work. Gland Slam scrape ropes are 30 inches long and 5/8 inch thick. They are made from a proprietary blend of natural fibers that is highly absorbent, durable, weather-resistant, and reusable. The ropes are included only in the Gland Slam Rope Pack and Gland Slam Pro Pack. Use It Year-Round Gland Slam is designed for year-round use. Start in summer or early season to establish mock-scrape and licking-branch locations, encourage bucks to investigate and return, inventory bucks with trail cameras, and begin patterning deer movement. Continue through the pre-rut, rut, post-rut, and late season to refresh active scrapes and maintain scent communication sites. How to Create a Gland Slam Mock Scrape 1. Choose a location where deer already travel, such as a trail intersection, field edge, food plot, staging area, existing scrape, or trail-camera site. 2. Tie a scrape rope to a low overhanging branch, or select a natural branch or vine that a buck can comfortably reach. 3. Apply a few generous squeezes of Gland Slam directly to the rope, branch, or vine. 4. Clear the leaves and debris beneath it to expose fresh dirt and create a visible mock scrape. 5. Apply one of our fresh deer urines to the exposed dirt below. 6. Reapply Gland Slam as desired, especially after heavy rain or when deer activity increases.
