Bookwagon couldn’t wait for the triumphant return of their favourite cat and his ambitious plans towards universal domination. Alan, King of the Universe Book 2: Today I Will Rule All! is so welcome. Alan continues to believe Universal King is his true vocation and, with the assistance of Fido, his loyal but dim assistant, he is determined to fulfil his potential. Alas, his plans still fall short. Yes, Alan and Fido can build a machine to shrink the universe but it only ends up shrinking them to ant-size. Yes, Fido has a family member working at the Royal Palace who can get Alan inside. Alan even manages to convince the courtiers that he is the King while the real King is carted off to the dungeons. Unfortunately, news gets out of what Alan and Fido are doing and there’s a right royal riot. Is this any way for a ruler to behave? Bookwagon loves Alan, King of the Universe.
