Bowl - in Ash

Bowl made from Ash Size - D 25cm x H 7.5cm Finish - Invisible Tung Oil A classic shape with simple geometry and a sharply detailed thin rim A beautiful example of some clean olive ash. More often than not there is natural staining or mineral deposits within the material that I acquire from our woodland. These bits are perfect for my yakisugi projects but when it comes this clean it’s an obvious choice to leave it natural. I really like the look of this form when scorched so I was a little torn what to do. However I looked at those olive streaks and knew I couldn’t hide them. Finished using an ‘invisible’ tung oil which maintains the natural pale colour of the material. Some other finishes can really yellow the look of wood which I dislike intensely. - For decoration or display purposes - Please note - any orders placed will be packed and shipped after the 10th August
